Have professionals come to your home to assist you in the elimination of termites. The cost of termite damage repair depends on many factors such as the size of your home and the amount of damage that is present. Prices for repair can be anywhere from $400 to $1000. Many companies will charge you a high fee the first time they come out, and charge smaller fees to come back from routine checkups and inspections.
You can also purchase sprays from home improvement stores to assist in the problem. Termite control sprays such as Termidor and Permethrin SFR termite spray are available to purchase in stores such as Home Depot and Lowes. This method is much cheaper than hiring a professional with prices ranging from $18 to $30 for a bottle. However, termite control sprays to not eliminate and wipe out the problem; they simply help you temporarily control the termite population. How to Prevent Termite Damage in the Future
After controlling your termite problem it is important to make sure that you can prevent termite damage from recurring in the future. Termites love moist areas. Be sure to fix leaks in your house, and if possible move the air conditioning unit as far away from the house as possible. Also, be sure to keep your garden hose turned off and shut tightly so that it does not leak outside. Get rid of wood piles and construction debris as soon as possible. Cardboard is another material that should not be left around.
